Grading

The most important thing of screening machines for grading: SEPARATION PRECISION

Grading is about separating mixtures of solids into different fractions, each with a predefined particle size.

In many manufacturing processes, it is necessary to separate the product into different particle sizes for optimal further processing. Grading screens not only ensure precise separation within the good grain spectrum, they also reliably separate oversized and undersized grains as faulty grains.

The separating efficiency describes the accuracy with which the individual fractions are separated from each other. It should be close to 100% for your classifying screen. However, in industrial screening technology, one hundred percent separation efficiency can only be achieved approximately.

Sieve movement and dwell time on the sieve mesh
The following applies: The longer the product remains on the sieve inserter, the higher is the separation efficiency. Vibration amplitude (= sieve movement) and sieve inclination (= dwell time) must therefore be perfectly adapted to the product to be graded.

Optimum product distribution on the sieve inserters
Distributor bars help with this: when feeding the screening machine, they ensure that the product is distributed over the entire surface of the screen mesh and prevent material from building up too high on it. The result: a permanently stable screening process – even with high throughputs.

Precisely covered sieve inserters
Homogeneous mesh sizes are the be-all and end-all for high separation efficiency. We produce screen inserts according to DIN ISO 9044 and DIN ISO 3310-1. Inhomogeneous or distorted meshes inevitably lead to poorer screening results.
