We are a medium-sized mechanical engineering company and one of the top 10 manufacturers of screening technology and big bag systems. We plan, design and manufacture components and complex systems for the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries. We are currently looking for a full-time employee to join our team at our headquarters in Ludwigshafen:

Plant Design Engineer (m/f/d)

Your field of activity:

  • You will be responsible for managing customer projects as a project manager or sub-projects as a member of the planning team.
  • You will be responsible for the design of 3D assemblies and systems – from the initial draft to the creation of parts lists and master data.
  • You will be responsible for the design of machines and systems.
  • You will brainstorm and develop tailor-made customer solutions in collaboration with customers and the sales department.
  • You will perform calculations and evaluate the results.
  • You will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers and service providers to achieve objectives.
  • You will create P&ID flow diagrams, pneumatic diagrams, and functional descriptions for systems.
  • You will be responsible for creating equipment lists in consultation with the electrical engineering department.
  • Your responsibilities will include carrying out customer acceptance tests and supervising commissioning.

Your profile:

  • You have completed vocational training as a technical product designer/technical draftsman with training as a state-certified mechanical engineering technician, a degree in mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification.
  • You are confident in using 3D CAD systems and Microsoft 365.
  • Ideally, you have experience with FluidDraw and Plantengineer as well as basic knowledge of FEM.
  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience in design.
  • Business fluent German and good English skills are required.
  • You are flexible and willing to travel approximately 10% of your working time for customer visits and on-site commissioning.
