Linear vibrating screens

Sieving that is gentle on the product and energy-efficient

Linear vibrating screens work with a flywheel drive that sets the screening trough into a purely horizontal screening motion.

The material to be screened remains on the screen mesh throughout the entire screening process. For this reason, linear vibrating screens are the ideal solution for fragile products – from fragile tea, to nut splinters, to catalysts.

The flywheel drive consists of a large flywheel with unbalanced weights. The drive is connected to the screening trough via push rods. Thus, when the drive is activated, the trough is set into a horizontal swinging motion, which is further supported by special springs on the trough.

Flywheel drives have a low energy requirement. The maximum power of the drive is only needed when starting the machine. Part of the oscillating movement is already maintained by the springs and the unbalance disc of the drive.

Optimum adaptation to the product-specific properties is achieved by adjusting the stroke and the screen inclination.

Core components of
Linear vibrating screens

Flywheel drive

The flywheel drive is connected to the screening trough via push rods.

This sets the screen housing into a gentle, horizontal oscillating movement.

Linear vibrating screens are therefore considered to be particularly energy-efficient and, above all, low-noise.

Frame and sieve trough

The housing is spring-mounted so that it can swing freely, decoupled from the frame.

The product to be sieved is fed into the sieve trough via the inlet, where it falls onto the sieve inserter.

Due to the almost horizontal oscillating movement, the material to be screened is always in full contact with the screen mesh. This enables particularly gentle and, above all, sharp screening.

Adjustment of inclination

The angle of inclination of the sieve housing in the frame is adjustable.

With a steeper angle, the material moves faster over the screen inserter. With a flatter angle, the dwell time on the screen feeder is extended.

This means that the sieve can always be optimally adapted to the flow behaviour of the product.
