JEL STAV II Jolting Volumeter
You want to determine the volume of your bulk material before and after compaction? Do you also need information on the tamped density? Our jolting volumeter provides answers – simply at the touch of a button.
The jolting volumeter consists of a plastic housing in soft design, with a motor, a control for the tamping mechanism as well as the tension lock to hold the measuring cylinder. The JEL STAV II is operated via a display.
The jolting volumeter is used to determine the tamping volume and tamping density of different quantities of a product – in accordance with the European Pharmacopoeia, DIN ISO 787 Part 11, ISO 3953, ISO 8967 and ASTM B 527-93.
The stroke number can be individually set as a deviation from the default control program, according to what product is being analyzed. Measuring cylinders are available in various sizes. With sound absorption hood if required.

Method of operation of the Jolting Volumeter JEL STAV II
The measuring cylinder is filled with the material to be analysed by using a funnel and then attached to the tamped volumeter with the aid of a retaining ring.
The number of strokes can be set individually, deviating from the default program. When the JEL STAV II is started, the tamping mechanism begins to work and compacts the material.
When the analysis process is finished, the jolting volumeter stops and the tamped volume can be read.
